The story of BACIF (Brass Aluminium & Cast Iron Foundry) began in 1959, and continues to present in excess of six decades of manufacturing and engineering excellence.

It was the vision of our late founder, Mr. Claude Leslie Geddes who started the business and guided its directors until his departure to the great beyond in 2005.

Among the many considerations, BACIF focused on building a strong team with effective succession planning. Our present, Managing Director Mr. Peter Pompey, a Foundry technologist, was able to take the reins.

The focus of his leadership is premised on building the overall capacity of the Company & expanding our customer base locally and regionally.

BACIF’s continued success & competitiveness is built on a solid culture and fundamentals of safety, continuous training of our staff, accreditation & certifications of local and international standards, safety Quality, management systems ISO 9001:2015, and the GNBS made in Guyana quality mark.

We are introducing new and upgraded technology that guarantees higher and substantially greater product quality and productivity

Our product range is diverse and services all the major productive sectors of Guyana’s economy.

Local content has provided new opportunities for us to expand into new markets.
